August Walther Glas en zonen was founded in 1888 in Saxony, Germany. In 1932 the company August Walther und Söhne AG merged with Saxon glass factory, they became known for their super quality Art Deco vases, bowls and figures. During WW11 the company came under a different management, like many companies. Then under the leadership of Volker Walther the factory was restarted in 1951 in the town of Siebenstern. During this period many Art Deco designs were re-executed, often in crystal and pressed glass. This design is called lemon slice, you see a slice of lemon on the left and right of the vase with the sticker of the glass factory Walther Glas in the middle. Nice that this has been preserved so well. The vintage vase by Walther Glas is in good condition, no chips, nothing.
