Art deco hair box by J. Leclabart, Paris

A beautifully preserved hair box by J. Leclabart from the Art Deco period from Paris. The box is nicely decorated with yellow, white and black. The round hair box from J. Leclabart also has the original contents, a real hair piece made of real hair. The thick brown tail is medium length, there is a stroke in the hair and is of good quality. Special find from Lille! J. Leclabarts company sold wigs and hairpieces, the company was located in Beauvais, the municipality of Hirson, department of Aisne. The city of Beauvais became famous partly because of Jules Leclabart hairdresser and maker of hairpieces. On the bottom of the hair box you can see that it was in the possession of S. Didier.
