Aksel Bender Madsen for Bovenkamp coffee table, coffee table, mid century
A beautiful Aksel Bender Madsen coffee table commissioned for the Dutch furniture company van den Bovenkamp.
The Aksel Bender Madsen coffee table is made of teak wood with oak. A nice mid-century coffee table where you can store your mugs and table books!
A design by Aksel Bender Madsen from the 1960s, this beautifully sleek coffee table with slightly raised scalloped edge.
Aksel Bender Madsen trained as a furniture maker, then completed furniture training at the Royal Danish Academy of Art and Design.
During his studies he became friends with Ejner Larsen. Together they founded studios Bender Madsen and Larsen, where they mainly designed furniture at night and worked during the day for the City Architect in Copenhagen.
A busy life! After the training, both designers worked together with Arne Jacobsen and Kaare Klint, also well-known furniture designers.
The mid century coffee table has minor signs of wear on the top, see the extra photos. The coffee table is otherwise in good condition.
